Description
Provides a crisis line to address mental health or substance use crises. Crisis outreach professionals are skilled in working with individuals to reduce distress and develop a plan to safely resolve the crisis at hand. Next steps may include identification of resources, mobilization of primary support systems (friends, family, other professionals), and providing access to outpatient services. May also include a face to face assessment to determine if there is need for hospitalization to expedite treatment, and ensure safety.
